Great place. They have a great variety of different things from Europe. Very clean and organized.
A fun place to go if you are interested in Eastern European/Russian foods. There's a large deli case to your left as you walk in that appears to house just about every processed meat you can find as well as what looks like some sort of salted fish. Straight ahead you'll find lots of candy with looks to be Cyrillic writing on each wrapper. The rest of the store is filled with canned and jarred foods with just about any food you can think of. Neat place to go to if you are in the area.
GOLDEN KEY is a wonderful treasure! I discovered many fine delicacies that are Russian, Polish, German, Ukrainian, and many other delicious treats, beverages, ice cream, deli meats, cheeses, sauces, and condiments. Irina and Dimitry were so friendly and helpful. The store was so clean and neatly arranged. Thousands of delicacies you can't find anywhere in Charlotte! If you ever visit this store, you will fall in love with it! What a fun place to shop!
Tucked away on a little side street, this unassuming little grocery with a tattered "NOW OPEN" sign is quite impressive. As my husband LOVES European candy he was in hog heaven in this place. There was so much candy, i think Willy Wonka would be proud. And speaking of hog heaven....SAUSAGE! if you want it, they probably have it! Not only in the fridge, but freshly sliced. If we didn't live 3 hours away, we probably would have walked away with a ton of it. There were so many cases filled with cheese and meats/sausages for the taking that it was almost a little overwhelming. Next time we might just have to bring an extra cooler with us just to bring meat home. Super friendly staff, and a $10 min. for credit cards. Go check it out!
Good selection. I loved the sausages they have there. Also I loved the fish selection. The Ukrainian pelmeni they have are very tasty. HOWEVER, it is very expensive. One jar of pickled tomatoes is $9. I think it should be 5-6.
When I say this is a European market I mean eastern Europe. There is tons of stuff here from places like Russia, Ukraine, and many other countries. It is a really fun place to explore and see what all they have. A lot of cookies and crackers I noticed, but hey I'm not complaining. There is also a deli and bakery section if you want to get something fresh made. I haven't had a chance to get something from the deli yet, but I want to because everything looked very good
